Baptisms

Here at St. Paul's, we do what's called an affusion baptism, the minister pours water three times over the candidate’s head, invoking the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We use a small bowl over our basin, and the water is directed over the head, in a symbolic gesture of “pouring out” the Holy Spirit.
