Local churches and service organizations

Broken Bread Food Pantry, situated close to downtown Fond du Lac, has been operating for since 1992. Every Friday, from
1-5 p.m., it serves 600-700 individuals, 35,678 people were served in 2024, 12,903 (57%) were children.
With an average of 40 volunteers per month that put in 620-650 hours. The pantry relies on their support for food preparation, organization, and distribution. Collaborations with local entities, like the Blandine House and St. Lawrence Seminary contribute to the smooth operation of the pantry.
Donations are utilized to procure proteins, fresh produce, and dairy, emphasizing the importance of offering healthy food choices to combat health issues like diabetes and
heart disease.
We are always open for more volunteers whether you are an individual or an organization.

Broken Bread serves the Fond du Lac community every Friday, year-round, in a welcoming and respectful environment. There are no requirements to receive food, and guests may visit as often as needed.
We focus on providing fresh, nutritious food through a combination of purchased items and generous community donations. Volunteers portion and package food safely in reusable containers, helping reduce waste while ensuring quality and care.
Each week, Broken Bread serves up to 900 individuals, meeting growing needs with dignity, compassion, and community support.

EACH WEEK BROKEN BREAD DISTRIBUTES:
- FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
- HIGH-QUALITY PROTEIN
- MILK AND DAIRY ITEMS
- SHELF-STABLE FOODS
- BAKED GOODS
- CANNED SOUP
Much of our food is fresh and purchased through donated funds, supplemented by generous contributions from local businesses, farmers, food drives, institutions, and individuals.
