The Right Reverend Matthew A. Gunter, Bishop
The Right Reverend Matthew A. Gunter is the eighth and current Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Fond du Lac. Raised in Northern Indiana and educated at Indiana University, he began his vocation in ordained ministry by attending Virginia Theological Seminary. He was ordained to the diaconate and priesthood in 1996. Prior to becoming a bishop, he served as Rector of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and as Assistant Rector of St. David Church, Glenview, Illinois. Bishop Matt was elected Bishop of the Diocese of Fond du Lac in 2013 and consecrated the following year.
The Very Reverend C. Patrick Perkins, Dean
The Very Reverend C. Patrick Perkins is the fourteenth Dean of Fond du Lac. A native of central Mississippi, Dean Patrick came to faith through the ministry of his hometown Baptist church. During graduate school, he became enamored with historic Anglicanism, while studying theology and Church History. He was received into the Episcopal Church in 2012, and was ordained Deacon and priest in 2014.
Before coming to Fond du Lac, Dean Patrick was Rector of the historic Old St. Mary’s Church in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. He holds graduate degrees in divinity and in music and has lectured at the university level on both subjects. Dean Patrick is passionate about the “re-traditioning” of catholic liturgy for modern, Episcopal congregations as well as the theological formation of Christians stranded in the modern, intellectual void between Sunday school and divinity school. He is married to the Reverend Canon Ezgi Saribay Perkins and is the proud father of Percy (an emotionally needy Weimaraner). Most-importantly, Dean Patrick is a grateful and fervent follower of Jesus Christ.

The Reverend Canon Ezgi Saribay Perkins, Canon Precentor
The Reverend Canon Ezgi Saribay Perkins joined the Cathedral family in April 2018. A native of Turkey, Canon Ezgi came to the U.S. in 2006 to pursue her American dream as a Rotary Exchange Student. During her first year in U.S., she came to know and love Jesus Christ and was baptized in the Southern Baptist tradition in the cool waters of Jack’s Fork River. Upon her graduation from high school, she studied accounting and finance at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. During college, she discovered a small, Episcopal parish near Drury and fell in love with the beauty, music, ancient liturgy, and preaching of the Anglican tradition. Through the ministry of that parish, Canon Ezgi discerned her call to the priesthood. After completing her Master of Divinity degree at Nashotah House Theological Seminary. Following ordination, Canon Ezgi served as a curate at the Church of St. Michael & St. George in St. Louis, and, then, as Associate Rector of St. Andrew’s Church in Kansas City. She was appointed Canon Precentor of Fond du Lac in April of 2018 and, concurrently, Rector of St. Peter's Church, Ripon, in 2020.
